SYNOPSIS

Returning to her father’s house after being away for more than a decade, Farah, 31 and still single, has to face the fact that her city of birth is getting increasingly conservative. Farah’s only way to connect with her father Mustapha (83) is to join his weekly all-male classical Arabic poetry club. (And, Farah doesn’t even like poetry). Her test: reading her original poems and they vote, in or out. They both know this is their last chance to really get to know each other — thank God they have a good sense of humour.

We Are Inside is a participant of the 2019 (Egg)celerator Lab.
