Far from the post-revolution exhilaration in Tunisia, the director films her native region. In a microcosm of a problematic chemical pollution, the revolution has become a sharp turning point and the trigger to bring about a likely change even though reality is made up of something entirely different.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Sarra Abidi, born in Tunisia, is co-owner of Synergy Production. She studied graphic design at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Tunis, then earned an MA in documentary filmmaking in Montreal and an MA in film editing at INSAS, in Belgium. She has directed three short films that have been selected in several festivals. She is currently working on her documentary, The Factory and Me and her first feature, Film Benzine.
