How do filmmakers apply to Project: Hatched if they are not in the AlumNest?

Members of the Chicken & Egg Pictures team travel to international festivals, markets, forums, and film events.  At these convenings, team members make a concerted effort to meet women and gender nonconforming filmmakers and learn about their projects. If there is a project that the Chicken & Egg Pictures team believes fits into these guidelines, an invitation is extended. In  2019, those extended invitations were verbal. When pre-applying, filmmakers will have the opportunity to name the person they were invited by and the event at which they were invited. Due to limitations in budget and staff capacity, the program is currently by invitation-only. We hope to expand our invitation in the future.
